Most recruiters have never worked a service in their life. We have.
On The Pass was built by people who've stood at the pass, run a floor and closed a kitchen at midnight — so we know the difference between a CV that reads well and someone who can actually do the job.
We connect carefully chosen hospitality professionals with the businesses where they'll genuinely thrive, not just the next name on a list.
What We Recruit
Four disciplines. No wall of job titles — just the roles that keep a business running properly.
Hiring in hospitality is hard to get right. We make it simple.
You already know what a bad hire costs — the retraining, the atmosphere on the floor, the cover shifts. We only put forward people we'd happily hire ourselves.
Why Businesses Work With Us
Recruiters who've stood where your candidates will stand.
We're not generalist recruiters who happen to cover hospitality. We've run passes, managed floors and opened venues — so a brief from you gets read by someone who actually understands it.
✓Every candidate is interviewed by someone with real kitchen or floor experience before you ever see a name.
✓We send a small, considered shortlist — never a bulk CV drop to fill a quota.
✓We understand your team, your service style and your standards before we start looking.
✓Confidential searches for senior and leadership roles, handled discreetly.
Every role below has been briefed to us properly by the business hiring for it. Filter by section, find one that fits, and send yourself to the pass.
Built From Hospitality
We've worked the jobs we recruit for.
On The Pass wasn't started by recruiters who picked hospitality as a sector. It was started by hospitality people who got tired of watching recruitment get it wrong.
Our Story
Built by people who've stood at the pass.
Between us, we've run kitchens, managed floors, opened venues and worked the kind of services where the pass never stops moving. We know what it takes to hold a section together on a Saturday night, and we know within minutes of talking to someone whether they can actually do that — or whether they just interview well.
That's the gap we built On The Pass to close. Most hospitality recruitment is run by people who've never worked a service — matching keywords on a CV to a job spec and hoping for the best. We do it differently: every candidate we put forward has been personally assessed by someone who understands exactly what the role demands, because they've done it themselves.
We're UK-based and work with independent restaurants, boutique hotels, groups and private hospitality businesses who care as much about who they hire as we do.
What We Believe
A short list of things we won't compromise on.
✓A CV is a starting point, never the decision.
✓Quality over volume — always.
✓Candidates are people, not inventory.
✓We only recommend someone we'd hire ourselves.
✓Understanding a business matters more than filling a vacancy fast.
✓Hospitality deserves recruiters who respect the trade.

The ultimate responsibility for determining whether you satisfy an employer's employment, immigration, qualification or compliance requirements remains with the prospective employer.
9. Additional Checks
Certain positions may require additional pre-employment checks.
Where relevant and legally permitted, these may include checks relating to qualifications, professional registrations, employment history or other matters reasonably necessary for the position.
Any enhanced vetting, criminal-record checks or other sensitive checks will only be undertaken where appropriate and in accordance with applicable law.
We will explain relevant checks to you where required.
